v1.6.2 Is Pending Chrome Web Store Review

HALO Maximizer v1.6.2 has been submitted to the Chrome Web Store for approval.

This is the largest HALO update since the public launch. The headline feature is Upload Scout: a new workflow that helps Amazon Influencers turn the product videos already sitting on their Amazon storefront into affiliate-tagged YouTube uploads.

In plain English: HALO is no longer only about finding Creator Connections campaigns. It now helps your existing Amazon content work harder across YouTube and Pinterest too.

The Big New Feature: Upload Scout

Most Amazon Influencers already have a library of product videos on their storefront. Those videos are valuable, but they usually stay locked inside Amazon where discovery is limited.

Upload Scout helps move those videos to YouTube with the pieces creators normally have to manage manually:

  • storefront video selection
  • YouTube upload flow
  • Shorts vs. regular video handling
  • affiliate-tagged descriptions
  • default keyword tags
  • playlist support
  • scheduling and pacing
  • upload history and duplicate protection
  • optional AI thumbnail support

The goal is simple: make it practical to turn an existing Amazon storefront video library into a broader content engine.

What's New in v1.6.2

1) Storefront-to-YouTube Uploads

v1.6.2 adds the extension-side Upload Scout workflow for publishing Amazon storefront videos to YouTube.

Creators can now start from their Amazon storefront and use HALO to prepare videos for YouTube instead of manually downloading, organizing, tagging, describing, and scheduling each upload one by one.

This includes support for:

  • one-click Upload to YouTube from the storefront tools
  • Shorts and standard video handling
  • YouTube playlist selection
  • default keyword tags
  • upload history tracking
  • clearer upload success messaging that sends users back to the HALO YouTube dashboard

2) Free Tier Can Try the Full Upload Pipeline

Upload Scout is available on every tier, including Free.

Free users can connect YouTube during onboarding and run a limited version of the full workflow. That matters because creators can test the real pipeline before upgrading:

  • connect YouTube
  • upload a storefront video
  • see affiliate-tagged output
  • understand pacing and limits
  • decide whether larger migration makes sense

The Free plan remains intentionally limited, but it is no longer a dead-end preview.

3) Safer Daily Upload Pacing

This release includes a large amount of work around upload pacing.

HALO now aligns Auto-Pilot scheduling with tier-level daily upload limits so uploads spread across the day instead of firing in bursts. The scheduler is designed to be safer, quieter, and more predictable.

Improvements include:

  • tier-driven upload caps
  • daily upload pacing
  • upload windows bounded to avoid runaway scheduling
  • smarter scheduler intervals
  • clearer denial messages when a run cannot proceed because of tier, setup, or daily limits
  • scheduled runs that start sooner instead of waiting until the middle of the day

4) Duplicate Protection and Existing Channel Awareness

A major risk with moving old content to a new platform is accidentally uploading the same product again.

v1.6.2 improves duplicate protection by checking more than just the latest visible local rows. HALO can sync YouTube channel upload history, normalize titles, and dedupe against previously uploaded videos so pre-HALO manual uploads are less likely to be repeated.

The release also fixes cases where already-uploaded videos could appear as failed, interrupted, or eligible again when they should not.

5) AI Thumbnail Support

v1.6.2 adds extension support for account-level AI thumbnail controls.

For supported plans, HALO can work with AI-generated thumbnails created per product and reused across YouTube and Pinterest. Users also get a visible toggle in the popup and storefront controls so thumbnail behavior is easier to understand and manage.

Related improvements include:

  • per-user AI auto-thumbnail toggle
  • thumbnail generation status messaging
  • cached thumbnail reuse across surfaces
  • upload success copy that points users to the YouTube dashboard for follow-up

6) Pinterest and YouTube Quotas Now Feel More Consistent

This release continues aligning Pinterest and YouTube automation so creators see a clearer plan structure.

The extension now shows better per-medium quota readouts and avoids confusing controls when a setting is not relevant to the current plan or feature state.

Pinterest also received an important reliability fix: upload permissions for Amazon-hosted image assets were restored so thumbnail/image upload works end to end.

7) Storefront Bar Improvements

The Storefront Bar has been cleaned up for the bigger multi-scout workflow.

Updates include:

  • clearer Video Scout, Upload Scout, and Pin Scout controls
  • improved feature-toggle layout
  • instant feedback when Video Scout starts
  • refreshed latest-run timestamps
  • better run status behavior when Auto-Pilot is syncing
  • lifetime badge polish
  • scan watchdog protection so a hung scan cannot permanently block future runs

8) Settings and Popup Refresh

v1.6.2 includes a broad settings refresh so Pinterest and YouTube controls are easier to find.

The popup now better preserves user context while it updates, including scroll position and UI state across re-renders. Scout buttons also wrap more cleanly so labels do not get crushed when multiple features are visible.

Notable updates:

  • reorganized Pinterest and YouTube settings
  • tier-driven upload cap display
  • persistent popup UI state
  • better button wrapping
  • cleaner feature labels
  • YouTube connection and setup visibility during onboarding

9) Auto-Pilot Reliability Fixes

A lot of the commit history for v1.6.2 is reliability work. That is intentional: once HALO is scheduling uploads, pins, and Creator Connections scans automatically, the system needs to recover cleanly from real-world interruptions.

Fixes include:

  • Auto-Pilot no longer getting stuck on “next run syncing”
  • latest-run timestamps updating correctly
  • storefront scouts refreshing their latest-run state
  • upload scheduler denials surfaced in the UI
  • hung scan watchdog protection
  • video scouting improvements for very large storefront catalogs
  • more reliable HLS/video processing retries
  • cached transmuxed MP4 output within a run
  • stronger fallback handling for dead video segments

10) Earnings Collection Reliability

v1.6.2 also improves earnings collection.

Clicks and revenue can now be collected through a hidden affiliate tab when no affiliate reporting tab is already open. That makes the earnings dashboard more reliable for users who expect HALO to keep tracking without requiring a specific Amazon page to stay open all day.

Why This Release Matters

v1.6.2 changes HALO from a campaign-matching extension into a broader Amazon creator operating system.

Before this release, HALO was mainly about finding and accepting better Creator Connections opportunities.

With v1.6.2, HALO starts connecting the whole loop:

  1. scan Amazon storefront videos
  2. match Creator Connections campaigns
  3. upload useful videos to YouTube
  4. schedule and pace uploads safely
  5. reuse AI thumbnails across channels
  6. pin content to Pinterest
  7. track results from the dashboard

That is the bigger direction: help Amazon creators get more value from the content they have already made.
